Al Roker to M.C. 48th celebration of Jamaica's Independence Grand Ball
The 48th celebration of Jamaica's Independence Grand Ball remains in full effect and will take place on August 14, 2010 at the New York Hilton and Towers. Silent Auction and cocktails are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
We are honored to have Jamaica's leading public affairs commentators, playwright, journalists (though not limited to) the esteemed Dr. Barbara Gloudon, O.J., O.D. as keynote speaker.
In addition, Emmy winner, NBCs Today's show host and weatherman, Al Roker who have traced roots to our island Jamaica will grace us with his presence and is this year's master of ceremonies.
This year's entertainment is provided by the number one dance band out of Jamaica, the Fabulous 5, a.k.a. Fab 5; and special reggae artist, songwriter, and producer, the "Life is Just for Living" man, Ernie Smith.
