VP RECORDS PRESENTS TWO DANCEHALL 101 VOLUME 5

On August 25th, 2009, VP Records will release two new installments of the Dancehall 101 series featuring the essential hits of reggae flavored club bangers and mix show radio party starters.

Dancehall 101, Volume 5 puts the dance in dancehall with newly mastered versions of 16 original full length bonafide dancehall staples. This compilation focuses on dancehall’s golden age of the mid to later 1990s. Included are radio hits: “You Don’t Love Me (No No No)”, “Action”, “Romantic Call” and the hip‐hop flavored “Sound Boy Killing (Salaam Remi remix)”, “Tour (Lil Jon & Paul remix)”, Snow’s “Anything For You” and Born Jamericans’ “Boom Shack‐A‐Tack.”

Dancehall 101, Volume 6 is a crucial set highlighting the humor and stylistic range in dancehall with newly mastered versions of 16 original full length length certified‐massive tunes. Volume 6 blends dancehall’s biggest names (Shabba Ranks, Beenie Man, Buju Banton) and lesser‐known deejays (Papa San, Reggie Stepper, Nardo Ranks) for a ‘til‐the‐cops‐come‐knockin’ old school party.
