Bunji Garlin, Soca Dancehall STAR, VISITS NYC

To promote his new album, ‘Global,’ and SHOOT HIS NEW VIDEO

Bunji Garlin, Two-time International Soca Monarch, will be in NYC from May 13- May 20 for a promo trip and video shoot for 'Brrrt' On May 22, 2007, VP Records will release his latest album,Global, and Bunji will support his album through various radio, press, in-stores and album release parties during the week. The anticipated album features Bunji’s signature blend of dancehall, soca and reggae. Highlights include the catchy stand-out track, 'Brrrt,' on the Bobby Konder’s March Out riddim and collaborations with the legendary Freddie McGregor on “One Family” & hip-hop artist Chris Black on 'Swing It.' His new video for 'Brrrt,' will be shot in Manhattan at the Riddim Driven Clothing showcase room and at Club TNY.

DA'VILLE, THE LOVER'S ROCK ICON, MAKES HIS WAY TO NEW YORK

Da'Ville has consistently dominated the Caribbean with hit after hit in the last year. Now with his highly anticipated album, 'On My Mind,' out May 15, three #1 hits “Cant Get Over You, “On My Mind' 'This Time I Promise,' and his new 'On My Mind' remix ft. Sean Paul, Da’Ville comes to New York to spread the word from May 5 until May 18.

Da'Ville will perform at the 26th International Reggae & World Music Awards held on Saturday, May 5, at Harlem Apollo Theater, where he has been nominated in two categories (Most Promising Entertainer and Most Improved Entertainer).

On May 10, Da’Ville will begin his NY promotion for “On My Mind.” He will visit various radio stations, such as: Irie Jam, Dj Roy, Pat McKay at Sirius Satellite and Kiss FM, Dahved Levy at WBLS Bobby Konders & Jabba at Hot 97, Steelie Bashment at Waah Gwan, Freaky Friday at Premiere Radio Network, Red Hot Radio and Ed, Egypt, and Ashy at Power 105. His album release party will be held at BLVD in Manhattan on May 13 and at The Base Nightclub in Brooklyn on May 18. On May 14 and May 16, he will have his official press days at VP Records Headquarters in Queens. DaR17;Ville will meet and greet his fans at his in-store at the VP Retail Store in Brooklyn on May 12, J&R in Manhattan on May 15, and Moody’s in The Bronx on May 18.

Elephant Man COMPLETES HIS new Video 'Five-O' ft. WYCLEF JEAN


Last week, the Energy God Elephant Man, hit sunny Miami to shoot his new video for 'Five-O' ft. Wyclef Jean. 'Five O' is currently a New York HOT 97 favorite and the first single off Elephant Man's anticipated album, 'Lets Get Physical,' set to released by VP/Bad Boy Records in August 2007. Based on the TV show COPS, the video is a wild police chase through the streets of Little Haiti, Miami, FL in search of the framed and innocent Elephant Man and Wyclef Jean.
RICHIE SPICE RETURNS TO HIS MOTHERLAND

Richie Spice finally makes his way to Africa. On May 4, the reggae star will perform in Nairobi, Kenya followed by a family one event at the Nyayo national stadium two days later. His journey to Africa fulfills his repatriation from the Jamaican Diaspora, hence the theme and title of his new album In The Streets To Africa. According to Allafrica.com, Kenyan fans are ecstatic and “the concert is aimed at cleaning the tainted image of the music genre.”

TRINIDADIAN SINGER, JAH MELODY, RELEASES HIS DEBUT ALBUM THIS FALL WITH VP RECORDS

The gifted vocalist and musician, Jah Melody, born Michael Williams in Carenage, Trinidad in1980, will release his debut album with VP Records in September 2007. Jah Melody expresses that “signing a recording deal with VP is a good opportunity for an artist like myself. It just comes to show that with faith and perseverance your goals can be attained.” His manager, Zakri Esau, adds, Working with an artist such as Jah Melody and now VP Records is a dream come true. I am expecting big things for 2007 and beyond.”

Jah Melody makes roots reggae compositions with sweet R&B melodies and hooks and sings with rich cultural and spiritual content. Some of the charming sounds off the new album are a result of an amazing collaborative effort and musical chemistry between Jah Melody and ace producer Bobby "Digital" Dixon. Neil “Diamond” Edwards, A & R of VP Records, said “From what I’ve heard from the album so far, the world is in for a big treat, so be prepared!”
