Dapper dancehall crooner Sanchez is sort of like a reverse Pat Boone, a one-man karaoke machine uniquely capable of turning the most soulless pop dreck into lively reggae classics. Among his best-loved tunes are reinterpretations of Michael Bolton’s “Missing You Now” and Jermaine Jackson’s forgotten 1986 snoozer “Lonely Won’t Leave Me Alone.” (He’s covered plenty of good songs, too: His version of Shai’s “If I Ever Fall In Love” is a must in any ’90s dancehall set.)
